There’s nothing wrong with checking if a business or platform is legit or not before investing time and money.

If you have thought about joining PM international, you have come to the right place.

There are some important facts to cover, and I’ll do my best to fill in some blanks.

Once you are done reading, you will be able to tell if PM international is the right platform for you.

PM International Is In The Health and Beauty Niche

Is PM International A Scam Or A MLM You Can Make Money With?

Let me say first that PM International is certainly not a SCAM, and I am not affiliated with the company, thus recieve no compensation.

PM International is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company based out of Luxembourg, Germany.

PM International sells different types of cosmetic and nutrition products. PM international was founded in 1993 and is one of the biggest MLM company in the world.

Rolf Sorg is the CEO of this company and they sell different types of nutrition and cosmetic products.

PM international has over 150,000 distributors and earn about one billion in revenue per year.

As an MLM company, you need to sign up as a distributor if you want to make money.

You earn as a distributor via commissions from the products you sell.

Also, you receive rewards when you recruit new members and build up your down line (you receive commission when your recruits make sales).

PM International Has A Detailed Compensation Plan

Is PM International A Scam Or A MLM You Can Make Money With?

In my network marketing reviews I do not try to break down the details of the compensation plans.

Most of them are very complicated and frankly, I find much of it hard to understand.

What I have done is made the video, PDF, or website link available to YOU the reader, for you to look up the compensation plan for yourself.

You can click here to read PM International’s Compensation Plan.

The Integrity Of The Company Was Called Into Question By A Danish News Report

A red flag about this platform is a detailed report by TV2 (A Danish TV network).

The report alleged that products offered by PM international contain about 50% powdered sugar; thus, they don’t offer any health benefits.

Also, the report showed that PM International is not a legitimate direct selling company and operates as a pyramid scheme.

On two different occasions, the company has sued TV 2 to retract this story, and they have lost in both occasions (they paid legal fees to TV 2 in both instances).

PM International wants to sue TV 2 again but the suit has not been resolved thus far.

For some of you, this could be a deal breaker and cause you not to want to look into PM International further.

However, when it comes down to accusations from today’s news media, be very cautious!

What Actually Happened Here?

When it comes to today’s news media you have to be very careful about believing ANYTHING they report.

The good old days of “just reporting the facts” are long gone.

In all fairness to PM International, let’s endeavor to look at the facts.

Before I comment, please read this statement which comes from the website Norway Today under the title “PM International demands NOK 50 million from TV2:”

Is PM International A Scam Or A MLM You Can Make Money With?

OK…Let’s break this down.

I cannot find the actual video of the news story anywhere.

There was a real possibility it was taken down.

Whenever you cannot find a news report that “disappears” it’s only for 2 reasons:

Either it was accurate, in which case should have remained online, or it was inaccurate and forcibly removed for legal reasons.

Was Evidence Presented Beyond A Reasonable Doubt?

FIRST: Did the “reporters”have an agenda or a certain bias toward PM International?

Answer: We don’t know unless we ask them.

However, as with 99% of so-called “reporters” today, it’s safe to say there was some reason why these two reporters wanted to “expose” PM International.

SECOND: Notice how the “reporters” were allowed to get away with the statement “Earns millions on sugar powder,” without immediately showing REAL evidence.

Did the reporters show proof beyond a reasonable doubt that some products in question contain powdered sugar?

I cannot answer without watching the video.

Is it possible the report was accurate?

Yes – it’s possible.

However, if the so-called “facts” are not presented beyond a reasonable doubt, are they really “facts?”

I can tell you this: If the reporters could not produce evidence beyond a reasonable doubt, the accusation should have never been made.

I can go on with this but here’s my point:

You CAN’T simply rely on any mainstream media reporting these days – you just CAN’T!

Today, ordinary everyday people just sit in their houses and NEVER question anything the mainstream media says.

How the news media is allowed to get away with a total lack of accountability is unbelievable!

My conclusion: I’ll have to see the evidence that PM International “used powdered sugar in their products” before I can make an accusation.

Is PM International A Pyramid Scheme?

Is PM International A Scam Or A MLM You Can Make Money With?

PM International, or ANY MLM, is not a pyramid scheme if it has retail products for sale without becoming a distributor.

If the company’s MAIN SOURCE OF REVENUE was members auto ship monthly purchases, then yes, it would be a pyramid scheme.

However, PM International has retail sales activity OUTSIDE of their distributors monthly auto shipments.

It’s not a must to recruit people under your down line; you can sell PM International products without recruiting new members.

The problem, however, is that most MLM companies make a lot of cash from auto shipment, and when this happens, their operations is not different from a pyramid scheme.

It’s possible that TV 2 reported the company to be a pyramid scheme because they were looking at revenue from the company’s monthly auto-shippments.

This is why Income Disclosure Statements are so important.

Some MLM’s I’ve reviewed make their income disclosure statements available.

Other companies stubbornly refuse to do so, thus giving skeptics and critics reason to thrive.

Having some idea what a network marketing company earns from retail sales AND from internal auto shipments is very important.

That information can help to determine how close a company is toward becoming a pyramid scheme.

PM International is similar to other MLM’s I’ve reviewed on this blog such as:

Network Marking Proves To Be A Difficult Business Model For The Average Person

A lot of studies on MLM’s have shown that about 99% of people will end up losing their money instead of making profits when they join.

Why do people end up losing their money with MLM’s? The reasons are numerous, but the 2 major reasons are:

  • Their products are on the high side compared to similar products in the market.
  • It’s very difficult to recruit new members

You can’t escape these challenges if you join PM International or ANY multi-level marketing company today.

The following statistics further highlight why multi-level marketing is a poor business model:

  1. According to FTC, 99% of all MLM participants lose money
  2. The chances of profiting by starting your own small business are 38% more than by joining an MLM
  3. The profitability rate of running an online business is 10% – 20% higher than the profitability rate of joining an MLM
  4. According to AARP Foundation, 47% of MLM participants lose money and 27% make no money whatsoever
  5. Among the 26% who actually earn a profit, 53% of them earn less than $5000 a year
  6. 39% of MLM participants quit because pitching products and services to friends and family jeopardized their relationships
  7. At least 50% of MLM reps quit within 1 year after joining an MLM and 95% quit within 10 years
  8. 75% of those who have joined and left an MLM state that they would never join another MLM in their life
  9. A 2018 poll of 1049 MLM reps across various companies found that most of them make less than 70 cents an hour,
  10. 20% of them never made a sale
  11. 60% of them had earned less than $500 in sales over the past five years
  12. 32% of them acquired credit card debt to finance their MLM involvement

PM International products costs over 100 USD and are absolutely luxury items.

In the minds of most people, finding high-quality alternatives at affordable prices is easier online with Amazon and other retailers.

This is a HUGE problem for companies like PM International.

Most people are very good at finding great alternatives for expensive MLM products by comparison shopping on Amazon.

Amazon’s platform makes it that much easier.

People Are Always Looking For Lower Priced Alternatives

Therefore, unless your product is exceptional, you’re going to have problems making consistent sales every month.

As a result, you may no longer be interested in selling products as a retailer and just recruit new members.

The problem, however, is that recruiting new people on the platform is more difficult than retail sales.

When a network marketing company focuses more on recruiting than on retail sales, then it becomes more of a pyramid scheme.

Most people who earn a lot through MLM platforms are networking gurus and have a lot of individuals in their down line.

Building a large network is not that easy, it takes years for some to build their network.

Ask yourself this question: outside your family and friends, how many people can you recruit?

Very few I guess.

A lot of people don’t fancy being approached to join an MLM and most individuals will resent you if you try; thus the low success rate when recruiting.

Building Your Own Affiliate Marketing Business Is The Better Way

99% of people who join MLMs end up losing their funds instead of making profits.

This is something nobody will tell you when they want you to register under them.

There are lots of reason for this, but the two major ones are:

1) Overpriced offers

2) Difficult recruitment

Getting others to join in this age of COVID-19 will not be an easy task.

Social distancing and plain outright fear will make normal recruiting activities evtremely difficult.

To be successful on any MLM, you will have to recruit hundreds of people to register under you.

Are you good at recruiting people to join a platform?

How many people can you even recruit?

Making money through MLMs is very difficult, especially in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Most MLM organizations are accustomed to holding in person recruiting or “opportunity” meetings in order to bring new people on board.

That’s going to be nearly impossible for the foreseeable future.

There’s only so much you can do on Zoom or Skype when it comes to recruiting.

Then you have to consider the economic situation of the people you’re trying to recruit.

However, even if there were no “pandamic”, multi-level marketing is a bad business model.

From my perspective, there are rocky times ahead fro the MLM industry!

This is why I enjoy affiliate marketing; you won’t have to deal with any of these frustrating situations because you’re building a digital business.

With affiliate marketing, your entire business is run from the comfort of your home.

It’s a digital business.

You manage your business from your laptop or desktop computer.

No “opportunity” meetings, Zoom meetings, recruiting calls, monthly auto-ship commitments, none of that you have to deal with in affiliate marketing.

It is my hope that you’ve decided that multi-level marketing is NOT the best way to make money in the times in which we live.

Learning to leverage the power of the internet is the best possible way to make money online.

With Wealthy Affiliate, you have the benefit of decades of experience on your side from owners Carson Lim and Lyle Louduon.
